Mission Statement

The mission of HAARA is to provide outstanding emergency medical services and patient transportation services. We provide these services in a professional manner while maintaining the dignity of those we serve. Our members continuously strive to learn, improve and grow in enhancing the delivery of emergency medical services to those we serve. 

Halifax Area Ambulance & Rescue Association (HAARA) provides primary basic life support services (BLS) and intermediate advanced life support (IALS), to the residents of Halifax Township, Halifax Borough, Wayne Township, Jackson Township, and Reed Township. HAARA provides "mutual aid" EMS coverage to the Millersburg Borough, Upper Paxton Township, and other locations as dispatched by Dauphin County 911. Since we provide emergency services to the public 24 hours/day, there will be certain expectations for coverage not found in other employment opportunities.
